Characteristics are similar to the Majestic Family… deep wide bodies with deep wide twists and shorter in the leg, but are visually finer (66s).
Sires have sold for $12000….MD10-3168 (Premier sale topper 2012) to Havelock Park, Kardinia & Koonik Dohne Studs, MD07-0361 to Calga Dohne Stud for $7000, MD08-1641 to Havelock Park Dohne Stud for $7000 & MD10-3189 to the McColl Family, Vic for $4800 to top the Victorian sale in 2013. Flock rams have sold to $5200 at our on property sale.
Introduced sires include Kardinia KD040423 who sired MD09-2430….an outstanding sire. MD09-2430 is a ‘meat machine’ with great width, depth and twist. 2430 is a ‘free grower’ carrying an exceptional long staple fleece that is well nourished, bright and soft of 64’s quality.
MD13-7141 sold at the 2015 Hamilton Sheepvention Ram Sale for $10,000. Purchased by Kardinia Dohne Stud Corowa, NSW and Midgery Dohne Stud Walgett, NSW. An exceptional Ace family sire. 7141 is a deep bodied, deep twisted sire with excellent conformation. 7141 has a soft, pure muzzle and carries a gutsy, long stapled 64s fleece on a supple skin.
Outside introduction into this family was a semen purchase from Koobelup IH19-3780.
